Aba
"The Captain "
He’s been piloting all kinds of pirogues for over six years — steering ours is child’s play for him. He won’t hesitate to let you take the helm and show you how to spot hidden sandbanks.
He’s also the crew’s cook: Thiéboudienne, Yassa, Caldou… Senegal’s traditional dishes hold no secrets for him — and your taste buds are in for a treat.
Chérif
"The Man with the Big Heart"
Chérif will be your second guide on this journey.
Originally from Casamance, he has dedicated his life to ensuring that no Senegalese child sleeps on the street.
His voice will accompany the rhythms of our djembés — but simply hearing him speak is already a source of inspiration.
Tala
" The Artist "
With him, words aren’t necessary — his great hands speak for him. A master of the djembe and dum-dum since childhood, he has passed on his art to the entire crew — and will do the same with you throughout the journey.
Lamp
" The Light "
With Lamp by our side, there’s no need for lighting once night falls — his talent on the djembe is enough to brighten up our bivouacs. Your eyes may struggle to follow his hands once he gets going, but your body won’t be able to resist dancing.
This is our core team, though there may be a few differences on board your pirogue — we also work with other friends to ensure all our excursions through the heart of Senegal run smoothly.
