4-Day Bivouac
Program
Day 1
- Departure of the excursion at 10 a.m. from the jetty in Ndangane, the gateway to the Saloum Delta
- Traditional songs and djembé lessons on the pirogue with our artists
- Refreshing break on the island of Wandié
- Traditional Senegalese lunch, local juices and tea
- Head to the village of Djifer to watch the fishermen return
- Continue to the island of Niodor
- Hike to the island of Guior, crossing its famous wooden bridge
- Swimming, apéritif and dinner
- Traditional songs and dancing around the campfire
Day 2
- Morning swim and breakfast
- Head to the island of Dionewar for a short hike through the baobab forest
- Traditional lunch and tea
- Swimming and time to digest before heading to the small island of Sipo
- Visit the village and hike to observe monkeys and wild warthogs
- Return to the mainland to set up our camp
- Swimming, apéritif and dinner
- Traditional songs and dancing around the campfire — until sleep calls
Day 3
- Morning swim and breakfast
- Head to the Fathala Reserve for a walk behind the lions (Entry fees not included — this activity can be replaced if preferred)
- Traditional lunch and tea
- Head to Toubacouta to visit the village and its craft market
- Continue to Devil’s Island to set up our camp
- Swimming, apéritif and dinner
- Traditional songs and dancing around the campfire
Day 4
- Breakfast with your feet in the water
- Swim-hike through the mangrove labyrinths
- Pirogue crossing through the mangroves in search of wild hyenas
- Traditional lunch and tea
- Head to the “natural pool” for one last moment in the mangroves together
- Peaceful return to Ndangane, once again accompanied by our djembés
The excursion programme is for guidance only — it may be adjusted according to the weather, the season, and your preferences.
Rates (Per person, per day)
- 8 to 12 participants: 30,000 FCFA ≈45 €
- 5 to 7 participants: 35,000 FCFA ≈53 €
- 3 to 4 participants: 45,000 FCFA ≈68 €
- 2 participants (excl. artists): 50,000 FCFA ≈76 €
Everything is included in our rates from N'Dangane.
This price covers the maintenance of the pirogue, fuel, meals, all drinks, the guide(s) from Mar Lodj, and of course a fair income shared among our large crew — artists, guides, and captain.
Note: Artists, djembé drumming and singing are included for groups of three or more. If you would like to include this experience for two people, an additional fee of 5,000 FCFA per person will apply.

- Option to sleep in permanent camps instead of tents (additional cost: 7,500 FCFA per person)
